Human-centred healthcare

Common Place is an inclusive new
clinic in Seddon, providing high-quality,
accessible healthcare designed for real people and the planet we all share.

Launching in mid-2027

Common Place came together through my work as a GP, alongside two experts in health administration and healthcare infrastructure. We’re building the kind of clinic we’d want to work in. A space that’s calm, thoughtful, and designed to support both patients and the people providing care—good light, low noise, natural elements, and systems that make the day run more smoothly.

A message from
our founding GP

Common Place came together through my work as a GP, alongside two experts in health administration and healthcare infrastructure. We’re building the kind of clinic we’d want to work in. A space that’s calm, thoughtful, and designed to support both patients and the people providing care—good light, low noise, natural elements, and systems that make the day run more smoothly. We’ve put a lot of care into reducing our footprint too, using sustainable materials and low-waste practices wherever we can, because healthcare shouldn’t come at the cost of the environment.

At the centre of it all is a simple idea: seeing people as whole, not problems to solve. We aim to work collaboratively—with patients and with each other—and to create a workplace where GPs feel supported, valued, and able to focus on being clinicians, not administrators. A place where good care and a good working life can exist side by side.

Community is
our cornerstone.

Proudly local and independently owned, because
corporate chains don’t make good neighbours, and everyone deserves a common place to connect, be seen,
and belong.

Healthcare that honours
people and planet.

From sustainable design to minimal waste operations and the aim to be a completely carbon neutral practice.

Inclusive by design.
Welcoming by nature.

A place where all identities, bodies, and backgrounds
are treated with dignity and respect—not just in principle,
but in practice. The kind of care we all deserve.

Diagnostics at
your doorstep.

On-site pathology means no extra appointments,
no need to trek across town, and no long wait
times between your tests and the rest.

Our vision

A future where sustainable, inclusive, and affirming healthcare is the norm, and every neighbourhood has a clinic that reflects, respects and uplifts the community it serves.

Our mission

To deliver radically inclusive care that honours patients’ needs, empowers our team, and makes both the community and planet proud, starting right here in Seddon.

Our values

Accountability

We act with honesty and transparency in everything we do, from pricing to prescriptions. Our decisions are guided by what’s right, not just what’s easy, and we own our mistakes when things go wrong.

Accessibility

We design care that reduces physical, cultural, and cognitive barriers and meets people where they are. Everyone deserves healthcare that’s welcoming, inclusive and built to serve their needs.

Respect

We recognise and honour diverse lived experiences, identities and choices. We purposefully create trauma informed, emotionally safe spaces for patients and staff alike.

Empowerment

We centre patients as experts in their own lives. We share knowledge, offer choices, and support people to lead their own care in ways that feel right for them.

Sustainability

We make choices that protect both human and planetary health. Our clinic is purpose-built for longevity, and reflects the world we want to live in: conscious, regenerative and ethical.

Become part of the
team we’re building

It might sound cliché, but the team is the heartbeat of this clinic. Our goal is to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care, without the burnout. That means manageable caseloads, genuine flexibility, clinical autonomy, and thoughtfully designed systems to improve workflow.

Great care starts with a team that feels supported, respected, and proud of where they work. In a system that often undervalues frontline workers and treats burnout as the cost of being busy, we’re building something different. A clinic where people want to work and want to stay. A place that shows what healthcare can look like when we care for the caregivers, too.

Have a question, want to work with us, or simply curious to learn more? We’d love to hear from you—whether you’re a patient, GP, specialist, allied health professional, or a member of the community.
